Sometimes we don't realize our true spiritual state until we compare it with the right standard.  When we compare it to people like us or worse than us, we tend to judge ourselves rather lightly.  But the standard we should use is the one God uses; His Son, and compared to Him, we all fall short.  The scripture says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and that there is none righteous in and of himself - no one.

Maybe you have never had a relationship or maybe you are one of the thousands in the church that have thought they are fine, but are living such worldly lives that there is no power, no relationship or even a desire for one.  Either way, repentance and mercy are what you need.

If you have never been saved or you have backslidden, which includes being backslidden in a church, today is the day for that to change.  Today is the day of your salvation.  This hour is the hour of your redemption!  Through the blood of Jesus Christ, you can be made whole right now.  How awesome!

If you are ready to make that commitment, I ask you to consider what it is to be a Christian.  You are not just praying a prayer and becoming heaven bound.  There is a space of time - your life - that is between this prayer and eternity.  You are not changed by praying a prayer.  You are changed by turning from one kingdom to another: the Kingdom of God.  Your whole life will change.  That is incredible!  There can be peace where there has been hopelessness, joy where there has been depression and love where there has been fear.  God desires to walk with you everyday.

But God doesn't want you to simply be born into His kingdom.  He wants you to grow and that happens by reading and obeying the Word of God, the Bible, and learning about Him.  Daily studying in the Word, and talking to Him about what is happening in you and in your life.  He will guide you and teach you how to handle life situations according to His ways.

It is a whole new life that awaits you.  The most wonderful decision I ever made was to follow Him.  The words I prayed when I committed my life to Him are like the ones you'll pray below.  When you sincerely pray them from your heart, the power of the blood of Jesus transforms you immediately!  He did it for me that night years ago.  He has never let me down.  He has been faithful in everything I face.  He loves me and I love Him.  Now He is waiting to embrace you and welcome you home.  Are you ready?
