Years ago it
was difficult to find anything on
the subject of revival in Christian bookstores. Today, the
shelves are bulging with these books. Many have the accounts
of
corporate revivals, describing the church before revival occurred and
what has happened since. The book I haven’t found is one on
personal revival. Most Americans
don’t live in a city where
there is a church in the midst of revival. The Christians who
are
hungry for more of God resort to traveling to churches either in this
country or abroad that are currently experiencing it. The
most
important group however, the satisfied believers, never experience the
life-changing, manifest glory of God on a daily basis. When I became
born again, I experienced a
heavy burden in my heart. My prayer was for a move of God in
this
nation that would bring God back to the forefront of both Christian and
secular circles. Few ministers
have had as great an impact on
my life as Kathryn Kuhlman and John G. Lake did. Whether
reading
books about their lives or studying their sermons, I would find myself
crying and asking God for the same anointing that they walked in to be
once again be made manifest in the body of Christ. It doesn’t
matter what part of the body God
has placed you. It is my belief that you should live a life
that
will challenge and change those who come into contact with
you.
Jesus said, “these signs shall follow them that believe...”.
Those signs should be following you. It is my prayer
and desire that after you
understand what personal revival can do in your life that you begin to
move into that call and leave your mark on this generation.
God
wants to ignite you with fire so you can pass it on to the people
around you!
